10 Good and Bad Habits of Online Logo Designers!



Just because logo designers are imaginative and skillful, it doesn’t mean that they are machines. Like everyone else, they are also human beings and have developed habits of their own. The trouble in possessing habits is that they become your second nature. They reflect in whatever you do, even influencing you when creating a logo design. Although good habits are worth keeping, it is extremely difficult to change bad habits. This is because old habits die hard.
 
While every human being has a separate bundle of habits, there are some commonalities that lie in almost every successful logo designer. That is why it is better to know what good and bad habits are common among online logo designers so that you can curtail the bad ones and adopt the good ones.
 
 

1. Patience to endure criticism:

Patience is the greatest virtue of a good online logo designer. This is because, when you work online with a client, you are faced with various criticisms over your work. Being a skilled designer, nobody likes to hear criticism on their abilities, but endurance is the key here. You have to be patient and handle all criticism with a cool head.
 

2. Focus on few but quality clients:

Providing top-notch quality is the hallmark of a professional logo designer. Although every person wants to have more clients and thereby earn more, a good online logo designer wants to serve few but quality clients. His main focus is on excellence of work and not the quantity of projects. He believes that customers should be satisfied.
 
 

3. Design for the love of it:

Another good habit of successful logo designers is that they do what they love and love what they do. The passion for logo design overrides their effort for money and fame. They don’t do it because they have to…they do it because they love it. Passionate designers go the extra mile to make sure they achieve what they want and don’t care about the consequences.

This is because, when you are dealing with clients over the internet, there is not much real-time interaction between the two. Lack of interaction may also lead to clients not paying you. If you don’t regularly interact with the client, they might think that you are either ignoring them or sluggish.

Self-assurance and confidence is a good trait as a logo designer, but being over-confident is something that can lead to trouble. This is one bad habit that you must not possess if you wish to succeed. No doubt you have the skills and ability to design logos, but bragging about it portrays a bad image on your customers. Clients start to think that he is a “know-it-all” and feel annoyed.

One of the oldest dilemmas existing in the logo design industry is the issue of logo plagiarism. This is one bad habit that can lead you to legal and financial issues in your career. Moreover, your credibility as a logo designer also comes in danger when you copy or steal designs from elsewhere.
 

4. Procrastination:

We’ve learned the old proverbial saying…A stitch in time saves nine. Well it really does if you’re an online logo designer. Dealing over the internet, you cannot afford to delay or postpone projects since clients want their work done quickly. Being lazy is one habit that causes severe damage forlogo designers.
 

5. Disorganized:

Being a logo designer isn’t simply about learning how to use Photoshop or Illustrator. In order to be a professional, you need to learn the art of management. Without proper organization of your work, you are prone to fall behind schedule and deadlines. Designers who don’t organize and prioritize their work often end up losing clients.
